About Us
Our Purpose
My name is Marlene Hoff founder of The Supported Kitchen INC. The Supported Kitchen Inc exists to create meaningful opportunities for people who face barriers to employment, independence and community participation.
We provide a supportive, inclusive and practical learning environment for people living with disability, people from disadvantaged communities, women rebuilding their lives , young people and others who may need additional support to find their pathway into employment and greater independence.
Through food, cooking and community enterprise, we provide paid supported employment, practical skills development, workplace experience and pathways towards open employment.
Our participants are involved in real work — from sourcing local ingredients and preparing products, through to cooking, packaging, quality control, customer service, markets, deliveries and sales. Every role provides an opportunity to learn, develop skills, build confidence and experience the pride that comes from contributing to a real working environment.
We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, earn an income, develop skills, be valued for their contribution and have a place in their community.
The Supported Kitchen is a stepping stone — a safe, supportive and inclusive place to learn, grow and prepare for the next stage. Wherever possible, we work towards helping participants transition into open employment within the wider community, connecting them with opportunities that reflect their skills, interests, strengths and aspirations.

Lily's Dog Treats
Lily’s Dog Treats are not only a healthy, high-quality option for pets—they’re also a product with purpose. These treats are lovingly handmade by people living with a disability, supported by dedicated support workers, in paid supported employment. It’s a wonderful initiative that brings both joy and meaningful opportunity to the community.
100 mile foodie
My name is Marlene Hoff and my business 100 Mile Foodie is an NDIS provider. I am a chef, hospitality trainer, cooking school owner/teacher and have taught cooking from prep-Year 12 students, plus adults in many settings including TAFE. We support NDIS participants by encouraging the development of independent living skills through teaching participants about nutritious food choices with a hands-on approach.
